With the new year now upon us, your insurance company, physicians, or residential address might change. We are asking all parents and caregivers to please provide updated information upon check-in at your appointments. If you can please have any new insurance cards, ID or proof of new residency ready so we can properly update your records. Attention families with the following Scott & White plans:
- BSW Preferred HMO
- PPO network
Though we accept Scott & White plans and have been in network providers for over a decade, our services are no longer covered in or out of network for these two plans. We encourage you to contact your HR department to gain more information. It is so important when choosing your insurance plan to know your benefits in detail.
Open enrollment is underway. When considering enrolling, below are some questions you can ask your HR department to make sure you are receiving the specific coverage your family needs and prefers.
- Will the plan allow you to visit your choice of doctors, therapists, clinics and hospitals?
- Are your current doctors and therapists in the plan’s network?
- Will the plan cover the therapies you participate in and the medications you’re currently taking?
- Are there limits on therapy services, medications, referrals to specialists, or treatments and surgeries?
- Are there benefit limits per person, family, therapy specialty, illness, treatment, or hospital stay
- What are the rules for out-of-network care and emergency care?
