Elite Therapy Center Gatesville clinic is located off Main St. and Hwy 36 heading west into downtown Gatesville. With play rooms, private and themed treatment bays, feeding room, offices and more; clients receive unique therapy accommodating for their exact needs to reach their full potential. We work with family and pediatric physicians and also treat in local daycares. This new clinic is conveniently located close to the local schools and health clinics!

Elite Therapy Center Takes Root in Gatesville with Building Purchase
Local, Female-Owned Pediatric Therapy Business Deepens Commitment to Community
After eight years of leasing space and providing dedicated therapy services to families in Gatesville, Elite Therapy Center has taken a bold step: purchasing a permanent location at 2611 S. State Highway 36. This move marks a major milestone for the 20-year partnership and co-ownership including Kari King McKown, clinical Occupational Therapist, Heather Field, and Lauri Cole, both clinical Speech-Language Pathologists. This elite female-owned business signifies its long-term investment in the Gatesville community.
Elite Therapy Center, known for providing high-quality speech, occupational, and physical therapy to children, faced a crossroads to relocate outside Gatesville or plant permanent roots. Co-owner Kari King McKown, a Gatesville native, born and raised, said the decision was guided by both faith and personal conviction.
Kari’s ties to Gatesville run deep. Her childhood was filled with opportunities that laid the foundation for her future as a business owner and therapist. She recalls her first-grade teacher who believed in her leadership potential, her early experience serving individuals with special needs through her church, and the trust of local families who allowed her to babysit their children—sparking her passion for helping kids.
Speech
Our team of trained Speech-Language Pathologists and Speech Therapy Assistants treat in all our clinic locations, daycares, preschools, and private school programs.
Occupational
Our pediatric OT provides skilled treatment for infants and children who need special help developing or regaining functional skills such as self-care and activity of daily living (ADL) skills, feeding and oral-motor difficulties, play and social skills.
Physical
Our PT team helps children with exercise, perceptual training, balance and coordination training, handling techniques, orthotic fitting and training and home programming.
Feeding
Our personalized program identifies feeding difficulties and determines the underlying cause (sensory, oral motor, behavioral, combination) by giving an evaluation and treatment goal that is appropriate to the child’s unique feeding needs.
